KLB signs partnership agreement with Kenya Booksellers’ Association PDF Print E-mail

Kenya Literature Bureau is pleased to announce the introduction of the KLB Bookseller of the Year Award.

This award was launched on 27th January, 2011 at the KLB offices when the Bureau signed a partnership agreement with the Kenya Booksellers Association (KBSA).

Present during the signing ceremony was KLB CEO Mrs Eve Obara, national officials of KBSA and KLB’s top management team.

KLB will work closely with booksellers who are recognised and paid-up members of KBSA to drive sales of KLB books and CDs. The program is the first of its kind and rewards professionalism and excellence among members of KBSA.

Speaking during the ceremony, The Kenya Literature Bureau’s Managing Director, Mrs Eve Obara said “the book industry in Kenya has been reeling under the threat of piracy and has therefore partnered with booksellers to beat the vice”.
